Chairman of the Body of Elders
Elder Alfred McDonald is from St. Andrew, Jamaica (West Indies) and through the ministry at Maverley Gospel Hall (in St. Andrew) he came in contact with the Lord Jesus Christ and committed his life to God. In 1978, He was baptised and accepted into the fellowship at Maverley Gospel Hall where he currently serves as Chairman of the Body of Elders.
In addition to having served on a number of secular and government Boards, Councils and Committees, he is a Christian Education Teacher and lay preacher; Chairman of Blessing Basket International; Co-Chair of the Dominic Alessandro James Foundation; Interim Caribbean Regional Director of Youth For Christ; Immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Jamaica Youth For Christ (JYFC) and former member of the Board of Youth For Christ International; Member of the Kingston Keswick Council; Singer, Praise and Worship Leader and a musician.
Brother McDonald previously served as the Senior Director of Commercial Development and Planning at the Airports Authority of Jamaica and NMIA Airports Limited. He is presently the Business Development Manager at Kingston Wharves Limited.
Elder McDonald seeks to place the Lord at the centre of all he does. He is married to Kareen, and together they have two biological children, Ariel and Kristopher.
Elder Emeritus
Dennis A Morrison is a Christian, having received the Lord as Saviour at Maverley Gospel Hall in 1962.
He has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall for the past 63 years, serving as an Elder for over 50 years and being involved in various ministries, including Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Fellowship President, Care Group Leader, Camp Ministry and Marriage Ministry.
He currently serves as Elder Emeritus in supporting the current body of Elders and Pastors.
His vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is that it will fulfil the Church's mandate to make Disciples, and that we will mirror the image of Jesus in our lifestyle.
He has been married for fifty-four years to Benita Morrison. They are proud parents and grandparents, having 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
His favourite passage of scripture is Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Chairman of the Body of Deacons
Richard Jarrett is a Christian, having received the Lord as Saviour while in high school and was baptised in June 1998 at Bethany Fellowship. He has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall for the past 23 years, serving as an Associate Pastor for over 12 years.
At present, he is chairman of the diaconate, and also is responsible for the Camp Ministry (Chairman), and the Men's Ministry – Men Advancing in Transparency, Unity, Relevance and Excellence (MATURE).
Richard's Vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is to see all believers maturing and growing in their faith and in active service for our Saviour, especially men.
He was married for 23 years to Therese, who went home to be with the Lord, and he is a proud father to two young men.
Favourite passage of scripture is Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Discipleship
Napoleon Black became a Christian while a first form student in 1979 at Munro College in St. Elizabeth.
He was installed as the assembly's pastor in 2001 and was appointed an elder a year later.
He fully embraces the assembly's mission statement – that Maverley Gospel Hall exists to offer hope to the wider community by demonstrating active faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through a body of committed believers, showing love and unity to the glory of God.
He has been married for 37 years to Aneita, Deaconess here at Maverley. They are proud parents and grandparents, having a son and a daughter and 4 grandchildren.
His favourite passage of scripture is Romans 16:10 - Greet Apelles, whose fidelity to Christ has stood the test.

Ministry of Missions and Evangelism
Aneita Black is a Christian, having received the Lord as Saviour at Grace Gospel Chapel, Harbourview, Kingston.
She has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall for the past twenty-three years. She has served in the camp ministry, in the women's ministry and in the choir.
At present, she is the deaconess for Missions and Evangelism.
Deaconess Black and Pastor Napoleon Black have been married for thirty-seven years and are proud parents of two children and four grandchildren.
Ministry of Care and Fellowship
Joan Marie Bucknor is a Christian, having received the Lord as Saviour since she was twelve years old.
She has been a member of Maverley Gospel Hall for the past 30 years, serving as head of Care group Ministries called Heart to Heart, Altar Ministries, Singles Ministries, Marriage Ministries.
Her vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is that as children of the Most High, people will be completely humble, gentle, patient, bearing with each other in love – Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Eph. 4:2, 3)
She has been married to Luke, a former Chairman of the diaconate, for 33 years, and they are proud parents of 2 children.
Her favourite passage of Scripture is Isaiah 26:3 - You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Ministry of Children and Youth
Noel Ellis is the Deacon with responsibility for youth. This area includes the following ministry groups: Gordon's Memorial Preparatory and Kindergarten School, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship (REACH), Camp and Blessed Babies.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Technology, Jamaica and an International Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.
He is also responsible for the Audio-Visual Ministry at Maverley and is a teacher in Christian Education programme.
Married to Tanneice with two adult children, he is a road running enthusiast and has completed the Reggae Marathon, half Marathon and participates regularly in 5 and 10 K road races.

Deacon in Training
Michael Heron is a Christian, having received the Lord as his Saviour at the age of 15 years old. He has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall for the past sixteen years, serving as a Deacon in training since this year.
Over the years, Michael has been involved in various ministries including Guest Support, Sunday School Teacher, Camp Counsellor, Men's Ministry Committee, Preacher, Discover Jesus Mission, Mission to Salisbury Plain.
Currently, Michael serves with the Men's Ministry.
Vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is that Maverley would become A body of believers committed to serving and loving Jesus Christ and each other with all of their hearts and minds.
Michael and Annette have been married for six years, and they are proud parents of two children.

Ministry of Hospitality and Guest Support
Dawn Dixon-Hylton has been a member of Maverley Gospel Hall for over forty (40) years, serving as a Deaconess since 2022.
Her Vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is: We create a welcoming community and environment for evangelism, so we can grow numerically.
She has been married for thirty (30) years to Norville Hylton, and they are proud parents and grandparents, having four (4) children and two (2) grandchildren.
Her Favourite passage of scripture is Proverbs 3 verses 5 – 6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Ministry of Teaching Support
Diaconate Coordinator Sharick Lewis has been a Christian for about 26 years and has been at Maverley Gospel Hall for about 22 years.
He is currently the coordinator of the Christian Education and Training Department (CETD), a member of the AV TEAM, a Christian Education (CE) teacher, an assistant chair of the Camp Ministry team, a member of the Youth team, and a member of the Drama Ministry team.
Diaconate Coordinator Sharick Lewis is husband to Natassia Lewis and Father to Aaliyah Lewis. He enjoys enjoy reading, all things sports and playing board games
His vision for Maverley Gospel hall is that Maverley will be a church that understands and practice the great commission as Jesus intended it. That we will be known for not just a church that knows the Word of God but lives it out.
His favourite Bible verses is Philippians 1:21 - “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
Deacon in Training
David McDonald is a Christian, having received the Lord as his Saviour at the age of 8 years old. He has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall for the past thirty-eight years.
Over the years, David has been involved in various ministries including Youth Ministry (team lead), Drama Ministry (team lead), Sports Ministry (team lead), Care group Ministry (team lead), Camp Ministry, Evangelism Ministry, Men's Ministry, Fundraising Committee, Singles Ministry, Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH) Ministry and Christian Education.
At present, David leads the Marriage Ministry.
His vision for Maverley is that Maverley would be a family, not just a community, of believers who demonstrate true love and commitment to each other and to the call of seeing sinners saved to the kingdom of God.
David is married to Trudy Ann for thirteen years, and they are proud parents of their daughter, T'Anna.
His favourite passage of scripture is Matthew 6:33 - But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Deaconess Barbara Mitchell has spent over 26 years at Maverley Gospel Hall
Her Vision for the church is as follows:
To see the church reaching full maturity through engagement, servitude, teaching and having the full knowledge of who God is. To see the church be empowered by the word of God and to manifest kingdom authority through the enabling of the Holy Spirit. To see a church where practices and power, gifting and talents are utilized to make disciples. To see kingdom saints engaged in living balanced, impactful, and purposeful lives in the kingdom. Redounding to the glory of God.
Ministry of Performing Arts
Sister Benita Morrison is a Christian, having received the Lord as Saviour at the early age of 11 years.
She has been a member of the Maverley Gospel Hall Brethren church for the past 57 years, serving as a Deaconess for over 27 years, and being involved in various ministries including Sunday School, Camp, Women's Ministry, Choir, Marriage ministry and the Counselling Ministry.
She currently is responsible for the Performing Arts Ministries – Praise and Worship, Drama, Dance, Youth Chorale, Lip Sync, Sign Language and Senior Choir, with direct responsibility for the Senior Choir. She is also a member of the Marriage Ministry leadership team.
Her vision for Maverley Gospel Hall is that we be a body of believers, united under God, and providing wholeness for all persons, even as we serve the community in which we operate.
She has been married for almost 54 years to Dennis Morrison. They are proud parents and grandparents, having three (3) adult daughters, three (3) sons-in-law, and five (5) grandchildren.
Her favourite passage of scripture is Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
